Uses: 

Tape works to decompress areas of muscle and fascial tension. It can also be used a an aid to the lymph system to help move fluid more efficiently. Most importantly it’s used to encourage proprioception of atrophied muscles (encourage them to start being used again), and for horses recovering from neurologic diseases like EPM. By taping areas neurologic horses’ have been struggling to use or not using we can bring the bodies attention to this area and encourage it to start working again.
I typically use tape as a companion to another therapy; this was we can keep the body focused on the area we’re working even after the session is over.
