Purpose:Our goal with PEMF is to reduce inflammation. By doing this we can alleviate cell dysfunction and bring cells back to a homeostatic state. Cell dysfunction can be caused by sepsis or systemic inflammatory conditions. It disrupts ion transport (sodium/potassium pump; waste out/energy in), therefore if the cell doesn't have energy it can't perform it's job. By using PEMF we can try to normalize the cellular environment by reducing inflammation; this allows the body to try and heal itself.
